the spray paints you will need
make sure to sand and clean up the gate mark from the casting
texture and the bronze color first….. tape off the brass areas no need to paint those and they dont get texture
Then spray with the bronze again…. this will let any rubbed away spot look bronzed/brass
Black flat spray and let dry
Use a white crayon to fill in the engravings and rub excess off with scotch brite that will give it a worn look
Dry brush some of the bronze paint very lightly and give it a faded worn look… less is better and make sure the brush is very lightly coated with paint… dip brush in paint the rub most of it off on a paper towel the whisp some on the edges and high spots…………
i use a knife to scrap the brass areas to look beat up and worn
